Pathway to Purpose-The Empowerment Bridge"

Our Reentry Program is designed to equip justice-impacted individuals with the skills and support they need for a successful transition into society. This program has two phases, each focusing on specific areas of growth and development:

• 14-Week Pre-Release Program: In this foundational phase, participants receive essential training and support to prepare for reentry. The curriculum includes:
  
  • Mental Health Skill Building: Tools and techniques to manage stress, develop emotional resilience, and build a strong mental health foundation.
  • Peer Recovery Support Services: Peer-led support groups and mentoring to foster a sense of community and shared understanding.
  • Financial Literacy Training: Lessons on budgeting, saving, and managing finances effectively.
  • Digital Skills Training: Instruction on using computers, the internet, and essential software to navigate a tech-driven world.
  • Life Skills Training: Development of day-to-day skills such as communication, decision-making, and time management, setting participants up for success outside prison.

16-Week Post-Release Program: Once released, participants move into our comprehensive post-release program that focuses on long-term success. This phase includes:

• Continued Mental Health Support: Access to ongoing counseling, support groups, and mental health resources.
•  Opportunity Hub Access:
  Pathways to GED preparation, workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and skill development—connecting justice-impacted individuals with tools, mentors, and training that build confidence, restore dignity, and open doors to long-term success. 
• Expanded Financial Literacy and Digital Skills Training: Practical applications of financial knowledge, including credit management, banking, and financial independence, as well as hands-on digital skills for daily life and employment.
• Life Skills Enhancement: Building on foundational skills to navigate real-world challenges effectively.

"PLANU Inc. extends its support beyond reentry through our Displaced Citizens Initiative, which aims to meet the basic needs of our community’s most vulnerable members. This initiative includes:

• Food Insecurity Support: Providing regular access to nutritious meals and connecting individuals with local food resources.
• Clothes Closet: Supplying clothing essentials to help individuals present themselves confidently and stay warm.
• Housing Advocacy: Assisting individuals in finding safe, affordable housing options and advocating for long-term housing stability.

The PLANU PLUS Workforce Readiness program is PLANU Inc.’s dynamic workforce development initiative designed to ignite potential and accelerate professional growth. This program equips justice-impacted individuals, displaced citizens, and aspiring entrepreneurs with the tools, skills, and confidence to thrive in today’s job market and business landscape.

Key components include:

• Job Readiness Training: Resume writing, interview preparation, and professional communication skills.
• Digital Literacy: Mastering essential technology skills for the modern workplace.
• Financial Empowerment: Budgeting, credit management, and strategies for long-term financial stability.
• Skill Building Workshops: Hands-on training tailored to in-demand industries.
• Entrepreneurship Development: Guidance on starting and managing small businesses, including business planning, marketing strategies, and securing funding.
• Career Pathway Guidance: Personalized coaching to align participants with sustainable employment opportunities or entrepreneurial ventures.

Through mentorship, training, and a focus on holistic development, the PLANU PLUS Workforce Readiness program empowers participants to achieve not just jobs but meaningful and sustainable careers or successful business ownership.
